The colors were tough to figure out for this scene. I kept trying the warm tones for the room, but it just wasn't gelling. Cool colors are the more obvious choice for exam rooms, so no wonder it wasn't looking right. It ended up really playing to the tonality of the next few pages.

Except for pages 14-17, every page so far shares the same six colors (cream, orange, brown, pale blue, blue, dark blue) + black and white. Figuring out how to get a certain atmosphere while maintaining clarity and balance within those constraints has been a huge learning experience! I'll be a little more flexible from scene to scene going into the next chapter, but it's going to be better for having done this first.
